Founded in 1989 by Dr. Morris Brown, Ash Tree Organization, Inc., in Savannah, GA, has been a beacon of hope, providing community-centered programs that inspire confidence and promote growth. Driven by a purpose to serve, we’ve impacted over 9,700 youths and their families, offering more than 20 programs across Chatham County and occasionally extending into Bryan, Evans, Richmond, Effingham, and Liberty counties. Originally a structured rehabilitative program for juvenile offenders, Ash Tree expanded to serve all youth in need of a positive, nurturing space. Our programs provide essential benefits, including a safe environment, life skills, academic support, and opportunities for socialization and physical health, helping students uncover talents and build confidence. In 2007, Margaret Brown joined our mission by founding Savannah Legacy Academy, an accredited K-8 day school where students gain the foundations for college readiness with hands-on learning. Here, timeless teachings meet the modern world through a curriculum that includes core subjects like math, science, language arts, and social studies, as well as enrichment programs in financial literacy, technology, golf with First Tee Savannah, and arts. Beyond academics, students gain vital skills through Kid Fit 360, career exploration, and life skills training, ensuring each child feels prepared for the future.
